The National Knowledge Centre for Violence Prevention
We collect data, conduct research and train professionals — connecting Danish knowledge with international standards.
The National Knowledge Centre for Violence Prevention is part of Center for Violence Prevention (CFV) and is an independent, civil-society-based knowledge centre. We work with knowledge, research and dissemination about violence and violence prevention. If you need urgent help, counselling or information about violence in close relationships, we also refer you to Lev Uden Vold, the national unit in this field.

We follow research and ethical principles
Our research and communication follow recognised research and ethical principles, and adhere to the seven principles for good research communication of Universities Denmark.
Core programmes
Femicide Watch Denmark
Systematic monitoring of femicide and partner killings in Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Islands.
Femicide Watch Global
Together with civil society and researchers from a network in 20+ countries, we monitor killings using data delivered directly from civil society organisations.
Researchers from around the world
The centre's international advisory board consists of researchers, human-rights experts and decision-makers with one shared mission: to strengthen knowledge about femicide, partner killings and violence in close relationships, promote legal protection and state accountability, and develop solutions that prevent violence before it happens.
